WILLIE NATHAN FARLEY

Willie Nathan Farley, 83, of Sherman, Texas passed from this life and entered eternal rest on Monday, February 27, 2023, in Sherman, Texas. He was born on August 1, 1939, in Idabel, Oklahoma to Arthur Farley and Rosie Farley. Willie married Nora Smith on January 15, 1963, in Idabel, Oklahoma. They spent the next 60 years raising their children and entertaining their grandchildren and making a wonderful life together.

Willie was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to all. He loved to hunt with his grandsons and garden, and take cruises with his wife, family, and friends.

Willie grew fruits and vegetables to share with all his friends and family. He had a strong faith and stood firm in his beliefs. Willie was very supportive of his children and grandchildren and spoke of them often.

He was the rock of the family and a friend to all.

Willie grew up farming and helping to support his family at a very early age. He came from a family of 12 children, and he knew that importance of family.

Willie was employed by Burlington Industries, Texas Instruments, and Lloyd Plyler Construction.

Willie is proceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Rosie Farley and brothers Danny, David, Delmar, Dophus, and his twin brother Henry.

Willie is survived by his wife Nora Farley of Sherman; and 3 sons William Farley, Steve Farley (Sandy), and Jeffry Farley all of Sherman.; 2 Grandsons Nathan (Whitney) of Golden, Co and Steven Farley of Lakewood, Co.; 2 granddaughters Amanda of Florida, and Brianna of Louisiana; and 3 great grandchildren. One brother, Jerry Farley of Casper, Wyoming, sisters Ruby Cox of Ava, Missouri, Betty Head of Wright City, OK, Martha Anderson of Broken Bow, OK, and Ruth McKelva of Bonham, TX, and Mary Sutton of Norman, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday morning March 4, 2023, at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, TX. Burial will follow at the Cedar Cemetery in Luella, TX following the service. A luncheon will follow at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sherman, TX. Visitation will be Friday night from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Waldo Funeral Home.
