William (Bill) Marvel Grisham, Jr

William (Bill) Marvel Grisham, Jr, 87, of Sherman, passed away on Saturday, November 19th, 2022.

Bill was born in Dallas, Texas on August 11, 1935, son of William and Blanche Grisham. He graduated from Seagoville High School and received his Associates of Science at Grayson County College.

He married Berneda Louise Ehlert on August 21, 1960 in Jacksonville, Illinois. They moved to Sherman, Texas on January 1st, 1967.

Bill worked for Anderson Clayton Foods for many years. His specialty was hydrogenated food product research and development, including cheese, margarine, salad dressing and Twinkie filling. He also worked at Kaiser Aluminum before retiring in the early 90s.

Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, bird watching, and gardening. He loved reading about history and enjoyed his Bible and National Geographic magazines. He was a member of Western Heights Church of Christ.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Blanche Grisham, sister, Lena Jane and her husband, Wayne Brown, and his brother-in-law, Wayne L. Smith. He is survived by his wife, Berneda (Skeeter) Grisham, daughter, Judy Outlaw and husband, Jeff of Dover, Tennessee, daughter, Gina May and husband, J.D. of Sherman, daughter, Heather Boykin and husband, Matthew of Sherman, sister, Betty Smith of Arkansas, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

As per his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ArmsofHope.org (formerly Boles and Medina Children’s Homes) or the charity of your choice.
