Willa Mae Borah

Willa Mae Borah, age 88, of Denison, TX, passed away peacefully at Woodlands Place, Denison, TX, with family by her side on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Willa Mae was born on October 13, 1934 in Calvin, OK to Charlie and Mabel Mills. She often recounted stories to her children and grandchildren of all the fun encountered while coming of age on her family’s farm in rural Oklahoma.

Willa Mae graduated from Calvin High School and later married Jimmy Jack Borah, who preceded her in death in 2002. Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed many hobbies including acrylic painting, arranging flowers, baking for family and friends, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and traveling the world with her beloved husband, with whom she owned a gift shop for many years. She also enjoyed volunteering, especially with Wilson N. Jones Pink Ladies, and she was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman, TX. Most precious of all to Willa Mae was her loving family.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Jimmy Borah (Lynda) of Denison, TX, Donny Borah (Shelly) of Pottsboro, TX, and Danny Borah (Sonja) of Sherman, TX, her sister Blenda Dempsey of Pasadena, TX, her brother David Mills of Calvin, OK, as well as ten adoring grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and devoted friends.

Willa Mae is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Mabel Mills, her husband Jimmy Jack Borah, her daughter Carol Sue Reinhard, her brothers Gaylan Mills and Richard Mills, and her sister Louise Havey.
