Saturday morning, local leaders, historians and members of the community came together at the Grayson County Courthouse for the unveiling and installation of the Sherman riot of 1930 historical marker. The event, five years in the making, comes more than a month before the 95th anniversary of the razing of the courthouse and lynching of George Hughes that took place on May 9, 1930.
