TxDOT announces July 10 US 75 closures

Full Southbound US 75 Mainlane Closure Notification – Starting at Exit 67

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming full closure of the southbound main lanes of US 75, beginning at Exit 65 (FM 691). The closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. on July 10, until 5 a.m. on July 11.

Southbound traffic will be detoured at Exit 65 onto the southbound Sam Rayburn Expressway. Motorists should continue south along the frontage road, bypassing the work area at FM 691, and re-enter US 75 using the next available entrance ramp.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.

FM 691 Underpass at US 75 Full Closure Notification

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced an upcoming full closure of the FM 691 underpass. The closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. on July 10, until 5 a.m. on July 11. Detours will be posted for drivers to follow during the closure.

Traffic on the east side of the intersection wishing to go north may access US 75 via the existing ramp. If commuters wish to go south onto US 75 from the east side of the intersection, they will be required to take the northbound frontage road and head eastbound on Katy Memorial Expressway. Drivers will then utilize the U-Turn to head westbound and use North Loy Lake Road to turn around and head southbound onto US 75.

Traffic on the west side of the intersection wishing to go south may access US 75 via the existing ramp. If commuters wish to go north on US 75 from the west side of the intersection, they will need to head south on US 75 southbound frontage road and make a U-Turn at Fallon Dr. From there they will head north on the US 75 northbound frontage road and access at the next available on ramp.
