Mrs. Tracey Ann Moore, 60, of Sherman, passed away peacefully at home after a long courageous battle with lung cancer on Friday, July 8th, 2022.
Mrs. Moore was born on April 14th, 1962, She was the beloved daughter of Woodrow W. and Willie B. Moore.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow W. Moore, her mother, Willie B. Moore, Her Brotherin-law David Wilson and her nephew Davey Wilson.
Tracey is survived by her wife, Nita L. Stargel of 32 years. Her Sisters Paula Hayes and her husband Terry Hargesheimer, Lynn Wilson and her late husband David, Janet Suchevich and her husband Mark. Her Brother David Moore and his wife Laura, all of Sherman. Also a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs Teddie and Frankie.
Tracey graduated from Sherman High School in 1980 joined the US Navy shortly after High School and served in the US Navy from February 1981 until December 1991. After her service in the US Navy she went to work for the Federal Government, Bureau of Engraving and Printing and retired after 26 years of dedicated service. Tracey loved playing slots and various card games at casinos, she loved reading, dragonflies, she loved doing bead art and was an avid fisherwoman. Tracey also loved crafts, playing scrabble and the theater, she was in numerous plays with the Azle Community theater and Popcorn Players theater. Tracey took pride in being a great Aunt to countless friend’s kids and her own nieces and nephews. Tracey was a bright and beautiful soul loved by so many. She was the caretaker of the family, always making sure everyone was okay and going that extra mile to make sure everyone was happy. Tracey lit up a room when she entered it, and she never met a stranger. She had a personality that allowed her to strike up a conversation with anyone and immediately put them at ease as if they had known each other for years.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on July 30th, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church, at 2627 N. Loy Lake Rd, Sherman. Followed by a graveside service at Friendship Cemetery at 267 Friendship Rd, Sherman
