Police reports include calls of theft, assault, illegal dumping

Assault - On Monday, Sherman Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of E Wells Ave for a disturbance. Upon arriving, officers found the victim at the residence, but the suspect had left the scene. An offense report for "Assault Causes Bodily Injury-Family Member" was completed.

Criminal mischief - On Monday, a female complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding criminal mischief. The complainant stated an unknown suspect caused damage to her property located in the 2800 block of Windsor Drive in Sherman, Texas. A criminal mischief between $100-$750 report was generated.

Theft - On Monday, a female complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The complainant stated an unknown suspect stole property from her residence located in the 2000 block of North Alexander in Sherman, Texas. A theft of property between $100-$750 report was generated.

Illegal dumping - On Monday, a Sherman officer was dispatched to a business in the 1700 block of Baker Drive in reference to illegal dumping. The caller advised a suspect had illegally dumped garbage into his business dumpster. The suspect was identified, and a report was generated for illegal dumping.

Theft - On Monday, a male complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The complainant stated an unknown suspect made entry into his vehicle and stole property. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot at a residence located in the 1600 block of LaSalle Drive in Sherman, Texas. The incident occurred sometime between Sunday and Monday. A theft of a firearm from a motor vehicle report was generated.

Burglary - On Monday, Sherman Police Department responded to the 1300 block of N Cleveland Ave in reference to a stolen bicycle. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the victim and witnesses on scene. Investigation revealed that a bicycle was inside the garage portion of the home and a group of juveniles entered the garage and stole the bike. The investigation is on-going.

Possession of marijuana - On Monday, Sherman officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near 1417 and HWY 75 NB. A vehicle occupant was found to be in possession of marijuana. A case was filed for possession of marijuana between four ounces and five lbs.

Assault - On Monday, officers responded to the 1400 block of Park Place Ave. in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, Officer determined a female had assaulted another female. The parties were separated when officers arrived. No injuries were reported.
