DPD receives 100 calls for service

Denison police calls for service included traffic stops, erratic drivers, suspicious activity and animals.

The Denison Police Department received 96 calls for service between midnight Thursday morning and 8 a.m. Friday morning. The department perform about 18 traffic stops.

They generated 11 reports related to suspicious activity.

The call log published daily by DPD is a listing of general calls for service where routine information is gathered and potential cases are investigated.

Six of those calls were related to animals and two of those calls were for noise violations.

There were four disturbance calls and three calls about erratic driving.

A single call was related to a robbery report, and three calls were related to burglary or panic alarms. On call was related to criminal mischief and one was related gunfire.

There were two calls related to a vehicle fire.
