A contractor assesses damage from a mud flow along U.S. 82 in Sherman Wednesday. The mud landslide between Loy Lake Road and Texoma Parkway is one of several mud landslide points along the highway that have occurred following prolonged rain and ground saturation in recent weeks. Once the ground dries, Texas Department of Transportation crews will use heavy machinery to reposition the slope and drive pilings into the ground to secure it, officials said.
