Travis Peterson, 54, of Sherman, passed away August 3rd. He passed peacefully at Texoma Medical Center with his daughter, mother and sister by his side. Travis was born on December 25, 1967 in Killeen, Tx to Mary “Jeanie” Whitley Peterson and Robert “Pete” Peterson.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Pete Peterson. He is survived by his daughter, Tesla Hampton, his sister, Bobbi Elvington, his stepsister, Robin Porter, his stepbrother, Lowell Daffern, his mother, Jeanie Daffern and his stepfather, Jim Daffern.

Travis selflessly donated his body to UT Southwestern Medical School in hopes of helping future generations. He was a friend to everybody and would give the shirt off his back. He will be missed immensely.

Visitation will be held at Waldo Funeral Home on Friday, August 12 from 6-8pm. A memorial service will be held at Waldo Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13 at 2pm.
