Olivia Fair doubled and came home on a passed ball to cut the margin to one run. The Lady Cats then loaded the bases with one out, but a force play at home and a strikeout ended the game.

Taylor Bailiff was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI and Janette McCallister drove in a pair for the Lady Cats (5-16, 0-7), who had six hits. Only four runs charged to Sherman pitcher Sara Flores were earned as Sherman committed five errors.

McK. North 16, Denison 1

Monica Eslick’s first-inning home run was the only offense for the Lady Yellow Jackets in a district loss against McKinney North at Culpepper Field.

Hailey Jackson doubled and Dee Harris singled for Denison’s only other hits.

The Lady Jackets (12-4-1, 5-2) will start the second half of district at Wylie East on Friday night.

McKinney North scored seven times in the third inning and six more in the seventh.

District 12-3A Bonham 22, Melissa 5

MELISSA — Sidney Sewell had four RBI, homered and got the win as Bonham run-ruled Melissa.

Audra Romans collected three runs, three hits including a double and two RBI for Bonham (16-8, 2-1) while Ashton Sutton totaled three RBI, two hits and two runs. Audrey Richardson added three hits, joining Kenzie Rattan, who scored twice, with two RBI. Maggie Hunt scored four times and had two hits.

Rebecca Pittman doubled with two RBI, Madison Boedeker tripled and each finished with two hits for Melissa (7-13, 0-3). Bailey Church homered and Sydney King doubled and drove in two.

District 11-2A Whitewright 5, Bells 2

WHITEWRIGHT — Sydney Brummett’s two-run home run in the second inning lifted Whitewright past Bells.

Brummett went 2-for-3 with the home run for Whitewright (20-2, 7-1) while Keely Selman finished 2-for-4 with a double.

Tucker Caraway struck out 11 batters and allowed just one earned run in her four innings of work for Whitewright, which plays at Howe on Friday.

Bells will play at S&S on Friday.

Whitesboro 11, Tom Bean 5

TOM BEAN — Katie Dean struck out 10 batters while hitting a homer and driving in three runs as Whitesboro defeated Tom Bean.

Taren Dillion doubled and scored three times, Moriah Mitcheson homered and had two RBI and Alexus Vanlandingham finished 1-for-4 with a two-run home run for Whitesboro (15-4, 6-2).

Sarah Henderson and Caroline Henderson each doubled and Annie Bailey struck out 14 for Tom Bean (13-7, 4-4).

Callisburg 8, S&S 1

SADLER — Paige Porter doubled and struck out seven in S&S’ district loss against Callisburg.

Megan Cowden drove in a run, Shelby Bennett scored and had five strikeouts while Jessika Dyke singled and walked for the Lady Rams.

Howe 20, Pottsboro 4 (3)

POTTSBORO — Madisyn Hargrove went 3-for-3, scored four runs, drove in three and earned the win as Howe run-ruled Pottsboro.

Hargrove went 3-for-3 for Howe (17-5, 5-3), scored four runs and drove in three more. She pitched three innings and struck out four batters in the win.

Jaida Upchurch was 3-for-4 with five RBI and scored twice while Peyton Tinney went 2-for-3, scored twice and had two RBI for Howe (17-5, 5-3), which hosts Whitewright on Friday.

Pottsboro will play at Whitesboro on Friday.

District 14-A Honey Grove 15, Ector 0 (3)

HONEY GROVE — Aubrey Ordonez totaled two hits, two RBI and two runs during Honey Grove’s run-rule win over Ector.

Whitney Smith collected three runs and two stolen bases, Kailee Frost drove in two and had two runs and Ashlee Foster added two RBI and a double for Honey Grove (6-9, 2-1). Caiti Warren and Alisha Dixon also scored twice, joining Kourtney Pevey with two hits.

Kelsee Nelson and Tiffany Sellers each singled for Ector.

Dodd City 16, Sam Rayburn 1 (4)

DODD CITY — Jenna Wallace had three hits and allowed just one hit as Dodd City run-ruled Sam Rayburn.

Talor Spindle, Keeshia Thompson and Gracie Granstaff collected two hits a piece for Dodd City (14-7, 2-1), which scored eight runs in the first inning.

Abbie Dow homered for Sam Rayburn.

Trenton 14, Savoy 0 (5)

TRENTON — Jordan Withrow homered, drove in four runs and allowed just one hit while striking out seven in four innings as Trenton run-ruled Savoy.

Kellie Connelly had two hits and struck out a pair, McKenzie Pryor doubled and had two RBI and Cheyenne Giles homered and drove in three runs for Trenton.

District 15-A Wolfe City 21, Roxton 0 (3)

WOLFE CITY — Wolfe City’s 17 runs in the second inning gave were more than enough to take a home win against Ro in District 15-A action.

Taylor Woodruff went 3-for-3, scored three times and drove in a run for Wolfe City (8-12-1, 1-2) while Raven Armstrong finished 3-for-3, scored twice and drove in three runs.

Cheyenne Lake gave up just one hit for Wolfe City, which plays at Blue Ridge on Friday.

Blue Ridge 16, Celeste 5 (6)

BLUE RIDGE — The Lady Tigers continued their unbeaten district season with a win over visiting Celeste.

Starting pitcher Kaylie Kennon didn’t allow an earned run on five hits and two walks.

Torrey Crosswhite went 2-for-2 at the plate with two walks and three runs scored. Kinzie Garcia and Kendyl White each had three hits for Blue Ridge, which hosts Wolfe City on Friday.
