Bailey Nixon added 16 points and Dara Williams finished with six points for the Lady Yellow Jackets (2-8, 1-2), who play at Lovejoy on Tuesday night.

The teams were tied at 34 at the end of the third quarter before Denison was able to take the lead for good and match its district win total from all of last season.

Sherman 48, Wylie East 46

WYLIE — Jayzhia Softly scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds and the Lady Bearcats made four free throws in the final minute to edge Wylie East.

Sa’Liesha Hunter overcame a cold shooting night and taking a hard charge in the second half to add seven points, all in the fourth period, and six rebounds. Hunter and Softly each made a pair of free throws to keep East at bay.

The Lady Cats (4-8, 2-1) will travel to Royse City on Friday night before going on holiday break.

District 11-2A Howe 63, S&S 31

HOWE — Alissa Smith had 16 points and 10 rebounds as Howe defeated S&S.

Rachel White scored 14 points and Riley Harvey added 12 points and 13 rebounds for Howe (6-4, 3-0), which plays at Tom Bean on Friday night.

Brooke Rankin scored nine points and Kirsten Marshall and Jessica Dyke chipped in six points apiece for S&S.

Whitesboro 48, Callisburg 18

CALLISBURG — Ashley Cooper had 16 points and five steals as Whitesboro defeated Callisburg.

Kristen Phelps finished with nine points, six rebounds, six steals and five blocks, Kristen McCanlies chipped in six points, eight rebounds, five steals and five blocks and Kacie Jones totaled four points, six rebounds and five steals for Whitesboro.

Pottsboro 44, Whitewright 14

POTTSBORO — Lindsey Evans had 15 points and six steals as Pottsboro defeated Whitewright.

Rani Elder and Justus Malone each scored eight points, Macie O’Hanlon added five points and four assists and Tatum Marburger had eight rebounds and three steals for Pottsboro (12-4, 2-1), which plays at Callisburg on Friday.

Anna Shope scored seven points to lead Whitewright.

Bells 56, Tom Bean 45

BELLS — Katie Jones had 15 points and five rebounds for Tom Bean but Bells defeated the Lady Tomcats.

Sarah Henderson added nine points while Alex Hendry finished with six points and 14 rebounds for Tom Bean.

District 12-2A Gunter 62, Van Alstyne 27

VAN ALSTYNE — Mackenzie Mazerolle had 21 points and five steals as Gunter defeated Van Alstyne in a battle of district unbeatens.

Regan Hestand added 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals and Mikayla Watson totaled four points, five steals and 11 blocks for Gunter (10-4, 3-0), which raced out to a 26-9 lead in the first eight minutes. The Lady Tigers have the district bye on Friday

Carleigh Simmons netted 11 points and Emma Moreno added five points for Van Alstyne (10-8, 2-1), which will travel to Sunnyvale on Friday.

District 15-A (I) Sam Rayburn 54, Blue Ridge 30

BLUE RIDGE — Ashley Vance had 15 points, four steals and three assists as Sam Rayburn defeated Blue Ridge.

Heather Mason scored 12 points, Courtney Clark added 11 points and Keely Spence added four points, six steals and four points for Sam Rayburn (10-4, 2-1), which hosts Trenton on Friday.

Torey Crosswhite scored 13 points and Kendyl White finished with seven points for Blue Ridge, which plays at Celeste.

Trenton 38, Bland 31

MERIT — Jordan Withrow and Shanna Bennett each scored 10 points as Trenton defeated Bland.

Bria Green and Kaylee Lloyd each finished with six points for Trenton (6-5, 3-0), which plays at Sam Rayburn on Friday night.

BIRTHRIGHT — Elizabeth Johnson had 19 points and Alex Gibbons scored 10 as Honey Grove defeated North Hopkins.

Allyiah Daniels garnered eight points and Natalie Ferguson added seven for Honey Grove (12-1, 3-0), which hosts Simms Bowie on Friday in district play.

Non-district Melissa 57, North Lamar 40

MELISSA — Whitney Taylor made five three-pointers and finished with 21 points as Melissa defeated North Lamar.

Katie Webb added 11 points and 12 rebounds and Cat Whitten scored 11 points for Melissa (10-1), which will face Plano in the Sherman Holiday Invitational on Dec. 26.

Collinsville 39, Denton Calvary 27

COLLINSVILLE — Brooke Johnson had 16 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks as Collinsville defeated Denton Calvary.

Michelle Moore added seven points, nine steals and six assists and Morgan Irelan and Janice Harmon finished with five points and five assists for Collinsville, which plays at Texoma Christian on Friday.

Savoy 37, CHANT 30

SAVOY — Hanna White scored 13 points as Savoy defeated CHANT.
