ANNA — Michael Kehrer scored nine points for Howe but Sunnyvale defeated the Bulldogs, 72-31, in a Class 2A Region II bi-district game on Monday night.

Levi Mrozinski added six points, John Jacob Talley finished with five points and Easton Ross and Griffin Underwood chipped in four points apiece for Howe (9-19), which trailed 15-10 after the first quarter.

Sunnyvale, the District 12-2A champions, took a 16-point half-time lead and then widened the gap over the final two quarters.

Josh Quinn had 19 points, Dillon Paschall added 13 points and Lawson Ayo finished with 10 points for Sunnyvale, which will face either Brock or Grandview in the area round later this week.

Class 3A Region II

Ranchview 72, Gainesville 51

LAKE DALLAS — Landon Bond scored 21 points for Gainesville but Carrollton Ranchview defeated the Leopards in a Class 3A Region II bi-district game on Monday night.

Demetrius Franklin added 12 points, Kisean Jackson chipped in six points and Devin Mims had five points for Gainesville (21-11), which tried to rally in the second half but came up short.

Down by 16 at half-time, the Leopards outscored Ranchview by seven in the third to get within 50-41 headed to the final eight minutes.

Raghib Ismail scored 20 points, Brandon Glenn added 16 points and D’Quan Waheed finished with seven points for Ranchview, which will face either Anna or Dallas Madison in the area round later this week.
