DURANT — Southeastern football will open the 2015 season picked to finish tied for fourth in the Great American Conference according to the league’s preseason poll released Tuesday.


The poll is voted on by the league’s 12 head coaches.


The Savage Storm head into head coach Bo Atterberry’s second season at the helm after posting the program’s first winning season since 2009, finishing 7-5 and earning the team’s first postseason berth in a decade with a trip to the Texarkana Live United Bowl.


SE is tied in the poll with East Central, with each team picking up 89 points in the voting, matching their finish from the 2014 season.


The top half of the preseason poll matches the top six from the 2014 final standings, with Ouachita Baptist picked to win the conference with 113 points and six of the 12 possible first-place votes.


Harding was picked second with 11 points and three first-place votes, followed by Henderson State in third.
