Whitney Taylor scored 18 points, Krista Butterfield added 17 points and Cat Whitten finished with 10 points for Melissa, which had three starters foul out in the third quarter. The Lady Cardinals host Royse City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Sa’Liesha Hunter scored a game-high 33 points to lead the Lady Bearcats, who scored 48 points in the second half. Jayzhia Softly added 18 points, Emily Kirkpatrick totaled nine points and Kristen Gittens scored eight points for Sherman (0-3).

Whitesboro 54, Collinsville 22

COLLINSVILLE — Ashley Cooper had 16 points and four steals as Whitesboro defeated Collinsville in non-district action.

Kristen McCanlies added 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks, Kristen Phelps chipped in 12 points, three rebounds and two steals and Alexus Vanlandingham finished with four points, eight rebounds, five assists and six steals and Terilyn Bufkin totaled seven steals for Whitesboro.

Pottsboro 46, Lindsay 25

LINDSAY — Despite missing three injured players, Pottsboro (6-2) outscored Lindsay in every period to take an easy non-district victory.

Lindsey Evans scored 14 points and Pippen Vier added 10 for the Lady Cardinals, who broke the game open with a 17-3 second quarter.

The Lady Cardinals will open against Decatur on Thursday in the Pottsboro Tournament.

Van Alstyne 35, Anna 26

VAN ALSTYNE — Allison Hensley had 13 points and 12 rebounds as Van Alstyne defeated Anna.

Emma Moreno added 11 points and eight rebounds while Carleigh Simmons chipped in seven rebounds and a pair of steals for Van Alstyne (4-4), which faces Denison and Decatur on Thursday on the first day of the Pottsboro Tournament.

Dee Moreno scored 15 points to lead Anna.

Whitewright 53, Wolfe City 33

WOLFE CITY — Anna Shope had 12 points and Hatty Shope scored 10 as Whitewright defeated Wolfe City in non-district play on Tuesday.

Sydney Brummett added nine points for Whitewright (5-3), which plays at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Farmersville.

Sarah Andrews had a game-high 16 points led Wolfe City.

Bells 52, Dodd City 37

DODD CITY — Katie Shults had 16 points and five steals as Bells defeated Dodd City in non-district play on Tuesday night.

Carlee Shelby finished with eight points and three rebounds, Katie Branam chipped in seven points, Macy Sanders added six points and Emily Fagan totaled five rebounds and three steals for Bells.

Tom Bean 28, Celeste 27

CELESTE — Katie Jones had 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals as Tom Bean edged Celeste in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Alex Hendry finished with six points, 11 rebounds and three steals while Raechel VanHorn and Ramie Byers added four points apiece and Sarah Henderson totaled six rebounds and three steals for Tom Bean.

Trenton 43, Ector 36

TRENTON — Bria Green scored 13 points as Trenton used a strong fourth quarter to pull away for a non-district victory against Ector on Tuesday.

Kellie Connelly added 11 points while Jordan Withrow chipped in seven points and Elizabeth Prater and Baylee Lloyd finished with five points apiece for Trenton (3-3), which plays at Tom Bean on Friday.

Danyelle Huey scored 12 points, Kelsee Nelson added six points and Payton Anderson had five points for Ector (0-4), which plays at Bells on Friday.

Sam Rayburn 31, Fruitvale 17

FRUITVALE — Heather Mason scored eight points as Sam Rayburn defeated Fruitvale in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Courtney Clark added seven points, three assists and two steals while Keely Spence finished with four points and six steals for Sam Rayburn (5-2), which hosts Dodd City on Friday night.

Texoma Chr. 50, Frisco Legacy 19

Hannah Bentsen had 13 points and 10 rebounds as Texoma Christian defeated Frisco Legacy Christian in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Emily McCarthy finished with 11 points while Haylie Ross and Tori Powers each chipped in eight points for Texoma Christian (4-0), which travels to Fort Worth Lake Country Day at 6 p.m. on Friday in a match-up of top-four ranked small private schools.

Paradise 41, Gunter 38

GUNTER — Regan Hestand scored 10 points for Gunter but Paradise edged the Lady Tigers in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Mackenzie Mazerolle added nine points while Jaimie Hughes and Emily Bruner finished with five points apiece for Gunter (4-3), which hosts Princeton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Farmersville 77, Howe 69

HOWE — Alissa Smith scored 21 points for Howe but Farmersville defeated the Lady Bulldogs in non-district action on Tuesday.

Riley Harvey added 18 points, Darci Foster finished with eight points for Howe (0-2), which plays Chico at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the Slidell Tournament.

Brittany Rich scored 32 points to lead Farmersville.
