The Bells Lady Panthers went 3-0 in pool play on the first day of the Denison Tournament with a 25-11, 25-11 win against Howe, a 25-21, 25-16 victory over Pottsboro and finished with a 25-8, 25-23 win against Whitewright.


Against Whitewright, Gabby Smith had seven kills and three digs, Bella Smith totaled five kills, four aces and four digs, Kayton Arnold chipped in three aces and two kills and Cheyenne Floyd handed out 11 assists.


Bella Smith put down seven kills to lead the way against Pottsboro. Gabby Smith added three kills and three digs, Jaiden Tocquigny chipped in two kills and Floyd totaled 12 assists.


In the victory against Howe, Bella and Gabby Smith each totaled five kills, Arnold chipped in three kills and three aces, Floyd handed out 14 assists and Mia Moore and Cheznie Hale each collected three digs for the Lady Panthers (8-3), who will open bracket play on Saturday.


Tioga 2, Whitesboro 0


In Denison, Libby Langford put down eight kills for Whitesboro but Tioga earned a 25-20, 25-22 win against the Lady Bearcats in pool play at the Denison Tournament on Thursday.


Aubri Falco had six assists and five digs, Elly Harper collected five digs and BreAnn Beste chipped in four digs for Whitesboro, which also had a 25-8, 25-23 loss against Leonard and a 25-8, 25-18 loss against Van Alstyne.


Langford totaled three kills, three assists and eight digs against Leonard while Falco finished with three kills, three assists and six digs, Chesney Wolf collected four digs and Harper contributed four kills and three digs.


Against Van Alstyne, Falco had three kills and four digs, Langford chipped in two kills and three assists, Harper handed out five assists to go with eight digs, Wolf finished with eight digs and Beste added four digs.


Tioga also had a 25-15, 25-21 win against Leonard and a 25-12, 25-11 loss against Van Alstyne in pool play.


Savoy Tournament


Texoma Christian 2, Savoy 0


In Savoy, T’a nne Boyd had seven kills as Texoma Christian opened the Savoy Tournament with a 25-17, 30-28 victory over the host Lady Cardinals on Thursday.


Allie Holtzclaw put down six aces and Shelby DeWitt chipped in five aces for the Lady Eagles (1-1), who will face Prairie Valley in the semifinals at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
