BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Juan Scoppetta highlighted the Southeastern Oklahoma State men’s tennis postseason honors by taking home the Great American Conference Player and Newcomer of the Year honors to lead a total of four players to take home all-conference recognition.


The Savage Storm bring home the top individual honor for the second-straight year. Scoppetta is ranked third in the nation, posted a 12-3 overall record with his only losses coming to top 20 ranked players. He enjoyed a nine-match winning streak this season and has four wins against top-20 ranked players this year.


Benjamin Finet and Ondrej Nice each earned second team all-conference honors.


Finet was 8-6 and 3-2 against GAC opponents on the season,while Nice earns all-GAC honors for the second straight season after posting a 9-6 singles record. Finet and Nice also played as a doubles team where they posted an 8-5 record, at the No. 1 spot.


Danrich Kruger was named the league’s Elite Scholar Athlete with the highest GPA of any player participating the league’s tournament. He was 8-5 playing primarily with Sandro Lena in the No. 2 doubles position.
