BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Southeastern Oklahoma State women’s tennis saw its season come to an end with a 4-2 loss to Arkansas Tech in the opening round of the Great American Conference Tournament.


Southeastern (2-11) dropped the doubles point with losses in the two and three positions.


The Golden Suns pushed their lead to 2-0 but Chiara Berg cut into the deficit by posting a 6-4, 6-3 win over ATU’s Katharina Drebka at the No. 1 position.


ATU pushed its lead to 3-1 with another win but Nina Sergeev answered with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Megan Bell in the No. 6 spot to close the gap to 3-2.


The Suns then picked up another singles win to close out the match.
