BULLARD — Pottsboro freshman Alli Reily won the Class 3A Region II individual golf title to lead the Lady Cardinals to a runner-up finish and trip to the state tournament with her performance at Oak Hurst Golf Course.
Reily shot a two-day total of 159 to finish one shot ahead of Paul Pewitt’s Ida Hansen and Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill’s Mason Garrett. Reily was tied for first with Callisburg’s Lindsey Bullard, who finished four, after opening round 77s before Reily shot 82 on Day 2.
Pottsboro carded a combined 820 for second place and finish four shots ahead of Chapel Hill. Callisburg won the team title with a 784.
Henley Foster finished seventh with a 193, Laklynn Fulenchek was 15th with a 201, and Marrie Baldwin shot a 270 and was 72nd
Howe finished seventh with a two-day total of 887 and was led by Kriston Harris, who shot a 210 and was 21st. Molly Wilson tied for 25th with a 216, Katie Grogan was tied for 38th with a 230, Brooke Robinson had a 231 and was tied for 42nd and Reagan Troxtell was 53rd with a 243.
Whitewright finished 13th with a combined total of 1,003. Eva Rau led the Lady Tigers with a 236 and was 47th, Lana Loria tied for 54th after shooting a 244, Callie McGee was 63rd with a 254, Alexis Tillett carded a 269 and was 71st and Alivia Stephens had a 275 and was 74th.
Class 5A Region II
In Rockwall, Sherman’s Alexa Antilla shot a combined 208 and finished 45th at the Class 5A Region II golf tournament at Rockwall Country Club.
Antilla opened with a 98 and then had a 110. She was 12 shots from the top 40. Frisco Centennial’s Gabby Bentancourt won the individual title with a 142 that was two-under par for the tourney.
Class 2A Region II
In Ferris, Tioga’s Emily Adlof just missed qualifying for the state tournament with her top 10 performance at the Class 2A Region II tournament at The Old Brickyard Golf Course.
Adlof shot a two-day total of 175 that was good for eighth place. She was two strokes behind the third and final individual medalist to advance, Meridian’s Gracee Hilburn, who had a 172.
Adlof led Tioga to a tied for seventh in the team standings as the Lady Bulldogs matched Harleton with a combined two-day total of 883, two shots behind Overton. Martin’s Mill won the team title at 647.
Alyssa David was next with a 220 for 35th place, Grace Deal tied for 48th with a 236 and Riliegh Payne tied for 61st with a 252.
Collinsville was 12 with a combined total of 935 and was led by Savannah Fields, who tied for 29th with a 212. Rachel Jaresh tied for 46th with a 232, Lauren Williams tied for 55th with a 242, Maggie Eells had a 252 to tie for 61st and Grace Knabe was 70th with a 264.
Tom Bean’s Melanie Dickson shot a 140 before withdrawing before the second round.
On the boys side, Tioga’s Seth DeLeon shot a two-day total of 105 and tied for 44th place while Tom Bean’s Kade McCarty carded a 226 and was 82nd.
