SHAWNEE, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State closed out the inaugural season of its women’s track and field program with a solid outing at the Great American Conference Championship with six top-10 finishes along with a series of school and personal bests.
The top Savage Storm finish came in the 4x400 meter relay as A’Mya Powell, MaKaylah Britton, Skye Summers and Rebekah Christman posted a seventh-place finish in 4:12.90.
The 4x100 meter relay of Caitlyn Cooper, Martie Shockley, Powell and Britton posted a school-record time of 50.31 to finish eighth.
Shockley also posted a new school mark in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:06.26 to finish eighth.
Britton added a 10th-place finish in the 100 meter hurdles in 15.79 seconds while Madelynn Coffey had a 10th-place finish in the 10,000 meter run in 48:36.22.
Danielle Doggett posted a 10th-place finish with a school-best javelin throw of 27.78 meters.
Sarah Murphy added a new school mark in the heptathlon with 3,035 points to finish 11th.
