ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Emily Cudd and Katie McCullar partnered on an outstanding outing in Game 1 to pick up a 9-2 victory over Henderson State but the Savage Storm were unable to maintain that momentum in Game 2, falling 8-2 to finish with a series split in Great American Conference action on Saturday.

Cudd allowed a run on four hits with two strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win and McCullar threw the final two innings and allowed a run on three hits with two strikeouts for the save for the Storm (17-23, 15-15).

Symphoni Shomo logged a pair of hits and scored twice with Destiny Riddle, Elexis Watson, Keeshia Thompson, McCullar, Mykaela Wallace, Ivy Amador, and Kamarie Wallace each adding a hit.

Watson and Amador each collected three RBI.

In Game 2, Hope Deanda had three hits, Watson homered and Kamarie Wallace drove in a run.
