DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State survived a cold snap and extreme wind to polish off a sweep of Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, 4-3 and 4-2, in Great American Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Symphoni Shomo led the way in Game 1 with a pair of hits and added four stolen bases while Keeshia Thompson drove in three runs, including a two-run homer for the Storm (15-21, 13-13).
Mykaela Wallace and Karsyn Brigance each added a hit and Destiny Riddle picked up an RBI.
Riddle got the start in the circle and tossed five innings, allowing two runs on five hits to pick up the win.
Katie McCullar came on in relief and recorded a pair of innings, allowing a run on two hits with three strikeouts to pick up the save.
Elexis Watson connected on a pair of hits in Game 2, including a homer, while McCullar added a hit and two RBI.
Emily Cudd tossed 5.1 innings after starting but got a no decision after allowing two runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
McCullar came on to close the contest and picked up the win after allowing one hit and striking out two in 1.2 innings.
