Zachareia Sommers scored 10 points, Ikia Lacy chipped in seven points and seven rebounds and Taryn Gaines finished with five points, 13 rebounds and four assists for Denison (19-10, 6-1), which makes the postseason for the third straight year — matching the program record from 2004-06.


The Lady Yellow Jackets host Princeton on Tuesday night.

WYLIE — Kursten Alexander scored eight points during Sherman’s 10-5A loss against first-place Wylie East on Friday night.

POTTSBORO — Hadley Williams had 18 points, seven rebounds and seven steals as first-place Pottsboro defeated Pilot Point in district action on Friday night.


Riley Westervelt added 11 points and seven rebounds, Tatum Rekieta chipped in five points and three rebounds and Hannah Fellinger totaled four points and three rebounds for Pottsboro (20-7, 9-1), which has the district bye on Tuesday before playing at third-place Gunter on Friday night.


Callisburg 48, S&S 37


SADLER — The S&S Lady Rams suffered a district loss against Callisburg in a battle for the final playoff spot on Friday night.


Callisburg (11-15, 4-6) moved a half-game in front of S&S (12-18, 3-6) for fourth place.


S&S plays at Whitesboro on Tuesday night.

Howe 55, Van Alstyne 45


HOWE — Ally Harvey scored 22 points as first-place Howe defeated second-place Van Alstyne in district action on Friday night.


Cassidy Anderson added 11 points and Calley Vick chipped in six points for Howe (19-9, 9-1), which has the district bye on Tuesday night before playing at Leonard on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs can clinch the district title with a victory.


Maegan Thomas had 14 points, Torin Riddick chipped in nine points and Emma Donald finished with six points for Van Alstyne (18-8, 6-3), which fell into a second-place tie with Bells. VA hosts Leonard on Tuesday and can clinch a playoff spot with a victory.

LEONARD — Haley Arledge scored 18 of her 25 points in the second half as Bells defeated Leonard in district action on Friday night.


Gabby Smith added 14 points, Alexis Grove chipped in 12 points, Mia Moore totaled 11 points and Courtney Davidson finished with 10 points for Bells (19-8, 6-3), which moved into a second-place tie with Van Alstyne. The Lady Panthers can clinch a playoff spot with a victory at home against Bonham on Tuesday night.


Raven Fox scored 15 points and Remi Long added 14 points for Leonard (13-17, 5-5), which sits in fourth place.

Collinsville 69, Valley View 58


VALLEY VIEW — Brittney Fields scored 23 points as first-place Collinsville defeated second-place Valley View in district action on Friday night.


Carrie Johnson added 17 points for the Lady Pirates, who will clinch the top seed for the playoffs with a win at home against Tom Bean at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.


Valley View clinched a playoff spot despite the loss.

TOM BEAN — Taylor Brown scored 11 points during Tom Bean’s district loss against third-place Sam Rayburn on Friday night.


Madison Holmes added six points, Emmy Pennell chipped in five points and Emma Lowing and Katlyn Lind finished with four points apiece for Tom Bean, which plays at first-place Collinsville on Tuesday night.

ROCKWALL — Tinsley Love scored 14 points as first-place Texoma Christian defeated Rockwall Heritage in district action on Friday night.


Bri Yale added 11 points, Cana Miller chipped in nine points and T’anna Boyd totaled seven points for Texoma Christian (12-7, 7-0), which plays at second-place Dallas Covenant on Tuesday night. The Lady Eagles will clinch a playoff spot with a victory.
