Bryce Frank scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, surpassing 1,500 career points along the way, and the Austin College women’s basketball team topped Schreiner University, 75-53, in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday night in Hughey Gym.
Frank scored 13 of her game-high 25 in the third quarter, while Kacie West scored 11 points in the third quarter on her way to 14 in the game.
Ann Savage added 12 points, four steals, and three assists and Ally Longaker chipped in 10 points and five boards for Austin College (15-3, 8-1), which overcame a sluggish start to take a 31-25 lead at half-time.
Sydney Williams paced Schreiner with 12 points and added six rebounds, and Alyssa Viera had 11 points and three assists. Miranda Vallejo scored 10 points off the bench for the Mountaineers.
Austin College is home again on Tuesday when it hosts the University of Dallas with tipoff set for 6 p.m.
