VAN ALSTYNE — Emma Donald hit four three-pointers and finished with 18 points as Van Alstyne gained sole possession of second-place with a victory against Bells in district action on Friday night.
Maegan Thomas added 15 points, Torin Riddick chipped in 11 points and Micah Welch totaled nine points for Van Alstyne (18-7, 6-2), which has the district bye on Tuesday and can clinch a playoff spot with a win at first-place Howe on Friday.
Mia Moore scored 10 points, Gabby Smith chipped in nine points and Cheznie Hale and Haley Arledge finished with six points apiece for Bells (17-8, 4-3), which dropped to third place and a half-game in front of Leonard. The Lady Panthers host Howe on Tuesday night.

POTTSBORO — Hadley Williams had 18 points, seven rebounds and three steals as district co-leader Pottsboro defeated Callisburg at home on Friday night.
Tatum Rekieta also scored 18 points, Hannah Fellinger chipped in 11 points and six steals, Riley Westervelt totaled eight points and six rebounds and Anna Roebuck grabbed five rebounds for Pottsboro (18-7, 7-1), which remained tied with Ponder atop the district standings.
The Lady Cardinals play at Whitesboro on Tuesday night.
Ponder 75, Gunter 49
PONDER — Tori Gittens had 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three blocks during Gunter's loss against 9-3A co-leader Ponder on Friday night.
Sarah Putnicki added 10 points and six rebounds, Bri Carr chipped in nine points and four rebounds and Sarah Denton finished with eight points and four rebounds for Gunter (15-8, 4-4), which has a half-game lead on S&S for third place.
The Lady Tigers play at Callisburg on Tuesday night.
Kaia Williams scored 17 points to lead Ponder (22-8, 7-1), which remained tied atop the standings with Pottsboro.

HONEY GROVE — Taylor Jackson scored six points during S&S' non-district loss against Honey Grove on Friday night.
