MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Katie Webb posted a career-high 36 points and helped Southeastern Oklahoma State to a 75-61 victory over Southern Arkansas in Great American Conference play on Saturday afternoon.
Southeastern (9-4, 7-2), which has won four in a row, led by 13 after the first quarter and was up by as many as 19 in the second before SAU rallied, closing the gap to a narrow as four points in the second half.
Webb hit 12-of-20 shots from the floor and 12-of-15 at the free-throw line to finish, topping her previous career-high of 30 points scored in the same gym a season ago. It is also the highest point total in the GAC this season.
Briley Moon finished with 12 points, Katie Branam turned in 11 points on a 5-of-7 effort from the floor and Kamryn Cantwell turned in eight points and six rebounds for the Storm, who play at East Central on Thursday.
