MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Southeastern Oklahoma State mounted a second-half rally but was unable to close it out in a 73-64 loss at Southern Arkansas in Great American Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The Savage Storm (9-4, 5-4) were 7-of-32 from beyond the three-point arc, hitting 21.9 percent, and overall from the floor connected on 38.8 percent of its shots.
Jett Jobe was a bright spot, hitting 6-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-6 from three-point range to put up a game-high 15 points while Kevin Buckingham added 14 points on 7-of-17 shooting.
Buckingham finished with a double-double, his fifth of the season, hauling in a game-high 15 rebounds and helping Southeastern, which plays at rival East Central on Thursday night, to a 35-to-31 edge on the glass.
Jobe also dished out a team-high five assists while Adam Dworsky finished with four.
