LUCAS — Mason Gabriel scored 13 points as Sherman opened District 10-5A play with a 66-43 loss against Lovejoy on Friday night.
Jalarien Wilson and Elijah Dick each chipped in nine points while Xzavier Roberson added six points for the Bearcats (8-14, 0-1), who were down just 35-29 at half-time before Lovejoy (14-6, 1-0) pulled away.
Kolby McSpadden scored 17 points to lead the Leopards.
Sherman plays at McKinney North on Tuesday night.
Princeton 62, Denison 46
PRINCETON — Nate Uber had 14 points and seven rebounds during Denison’s loss against Princeton in the District 10-5A opener on Friday night.
Tarrence Gaines added 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Zaelin Wimbish chipped in eight points and Pierce Barker totaled seven points for the Yellow Jackets (5-14, 0-1), who were down just 23-19 at half-time.
Haven Ousley scored 24 points to pace Princeton.
Denison will host Wylie East on Tuesday night.
Pottsboro 90, S&S 29
SADLER — Kai Barr scored 24 points as Pottsboro defeated S&S in district action on Friday night.
Jaxon Recer added 15 points, Jake Williams and Cameron Curry finished with 10 points and Blake Dyer added eight points for Pottsboro (22-2, 3-1), which plays at Ponder on Tuesday night. The two teams are tied for second place.
Cole Sloan scored seven points, Jake Reynolds added six points and Angel Ortega and Hunter Jones chipped in four points each for S&S (2-16, 0-5).
Bonham 70, Howe 37
BONHAM — Josh Ukpe made six three-pointers on the way to 35 points as first-place Bonham defeated Howe in district action on Friday night.
Tanner Reaves added 10 points, Noah Shellman chipped in nine points and Tyler Rodriguez finished with five points for Bonham (20-4, 5-0).
Elijah Campbell and Noah Campbell scored nine points apiece for Howe, which is tied with Blue Ridge for fifth place, plays at Whitewright as district action continues on Tuesday night.
Tom Bean 64, Collinsville 29
TOM BEAN — Ben Lind had 18 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks as Tom Bean opened district play with a victory against Collinsville on Friday night.
Cory Welch added 11 points and four rebounds, Michael Cooper totaled 10 points, 12 rebounds and nine steals and Ryan Weems chipped in eight points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals for Tom Bean (18-4, 1-0), which was playing its first game following a season-ending knee injury to leading scorer and senior guard Bryce Grier.
Tioga 55, Sam Rayburn 39
TIOGA — The Tioga Bulldogs opened district play with a victory against Sam Rayburn on Friday night.
Tioga continues district play at Collinsville on Tuesday night.

DALLAS — Weston Chaddick scored 18 points as Texoma Christian stayed perfect in district play with a victory against Dallas Lakehill on Saturday.
Griffin Stange and Mathias Coleman each chipped in 12 points and Caleb Roberts totaled 10 points for Texoma Christian (8-9, 3-0), which hosts Dallas Yavneh on Tuesday night with the winner gaining sole possession of first place.
