MEMPHIS, Tenn. — After suffering its first setback of the season, the No. 19 Austin College women’s basketball team bounced back with an 84-75 victory over previously unbeaten Rhodes on Sunday afternoon.
The ‘Roos (5-1) got a big game from Bryce Frank, who came up one point shy of matching her career best with 31 points on 11-of-17 shooting. Frank also added 13 rebounds and hit 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
Kacie West got hot from long distance, hitting 6-of-11 three-pointers for a career high 28 points to go with six rebounds and three steals. Ann Savage matched her career best with eight assists and Caitlyn Collins chipped in eight points while Addison Walling had eight boards and three assists.
Austin College is off this week before returning to action on December 13 when the ‘Roos travel to Hardin-Simmons (7-1) before returning to Hughey Gym on December 15 to take on Hendrix.
