POTTSBORO — The Lady Cardinals split on the first day of hosting their own tournament with a 45-41 victory against Melissa to go with a 29-25 loss against Krum on Thursday.
In the victory over Melissa, Hadley Williams had 13 points and seven rebounds, Riley Westervelt chipped in 10 points and four rebounds, Sharissa McBride scored nine points and Hannah Fellinger finished with seven points, eight rebounds and three steals.
Fellinger had 12 points and Westervelt totaled five points and six rebounds in the loss to Krum.
S&S 56, Texoma Christian 20
SADLER — Halie Hicks scored 17 points as S&S defeated Texoma Christian to close out pool play at its tournament on Thursday.
Kaylee Baker added eight points, Chelsea McDonald chipped in seven points and Taylor Jackson and Suzy Griffin each totaled six points for S&S (6-5), which advanced to the championship game at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Lady Rams started the day with a 27-17 victory against Henrietta. Hicks scored nine points while Baker and Griffin each had seven points.
Chapel Hill Tournament
Van Alstyne 53, Henderson 38
TYLER — Avery Duncan scored 15 points as Van Alstyne opened the Chapel Hill Tournament with a victory against Henderson on Thursday.
Micah Welch added nine points, Maegan Thomas chipped in seven points and Emma Donald and Torin Riddick each finished with six points for the Lady Panthers.
Saint Jo Tournament
Trenton 62, Gold-burg 32
SAINT JO — Carley Stone and Karleigh Carter each scored 12 points as Trenton opened the Saint Jo Tournament with a victory against Gold-burg on Thursday.
Jessica Withrow added 11 points and Gabby Edwards totaled nine points for Trenton (5-2).
Honey Grove 33, Clarksville 31
PATTONVILLE — Bree Cason scored 11 points as Honey Grove opened the Prairiland Tournament with a victory against Clarksville on Thursday afternoon.
Makiyah Johnson added seven points while Alexandra Morrison and Amelia Butler chipped in six points apiece for Honey Grove.
Dodd City Tournament
Dodd City 57, Wolfe City 16
DODD CITY — Delaney Pilliod scored 15 points as Dodd City opened its tournament with a victory against Wolfe City on Thursday.
Journie Hilliard added 12 points, Sarah Brent chipped in nine points, Dani Baccus totaled eight points and Cassidy Heron finished with seven points for the Lady Hornets (12-1).
