DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Kellen Manek has been named Co-Men’s Great American Conference Player of the Week following his efforts in leading the Savage Storm to a pair of wins at the St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic in San Antonio.


Manek, a sophomore, put up a career-high en route to averaging 21.5 points, in a 68-61 win over Texas A&M-International and a 89-80 win over St. Mary’s.


He shot 52.2 percent from the field for the week and added a 5-of-9 effort from behind the arc and hit 82.4 percent of his free throws.


Manek posted 27 points in the win over St. Mary’s, boosted by a 4-for-7 mark from three point range and a 7-of-8 effort at the free throw line. He also averaged three rebounds per game while adding 2.5 assists.


Southeastern will be back in action Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Oklahoma Baptist.
