Jadyne Gatewood added seven points for Sherman (2-1), which will compete in the Frisco ISD Tournament starting on Thursday.

Zya Nugent had 26 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals as Denison beat Celina in non-district action at Denison on Tuesday night.


Zachareia Sommers added 11 points, six assists and four rebounds, Jade Fry chipped in 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals and Ikia Lacy finished with seven points and five rebounds for Denison (2-0), which competes in the Frisco ISD Tournament starting on Thursday.


Blue Ridge 64, Whitesboro 36


BLUE RIDGE — Skylar Gerner scored 14 points as Blue Ridge beat Whitesboro in the season-opener on Tuesday night.


Ellery Martin added 11 points and Kenna Walker finished with 10 points for Blue Ridge.


Piper Dunn had 10 points, six rebounds and five steals, Maggie McCorkle totaled 10 points, seven rebounds and four steals, Casey Monk added four points, 10 rebounds, 12 blocks and three steals and Libby Langford chipped in seven points and five rebounds for Whitesboro, which hosts Tom Bean at 10 a.m. on Saturday.


S&S 40, Ector 23


SADLER — Taylor Jackson had 14 points as S&S beat Ector in non-district action on Tuesday night.


Halie Hicks and Kaylee Baker added eight points apiece for S&S (2-0).


Destiny Whitburn scored 12 points and Saakshi Pandey chipped in seven points for Ector, which hosts Bellevue at 6 p.m. on Friday.


Honey Grove 43, Paris Home School 30


PARIS — Alexandra Morrison scored nine points as Honey Grove defeated Paris Home School in non-district action on Tuesday night.


Makiyah Johnson added eight points and Demetria Pruitt chipped in eight points for Honey Grove.


Bells 64, Tom Bean 18


TOM BEAN — Cheznie Hale had 28 points as Bells defeated Tom Bean in non-district action on Tuesday night.


Alexis Grove added 18 points and Mia Moore totaled six points for Bells.


Emmy Pennell scored eight points for Tom Bean.
