Alexis Jackman added eight kills, four blocks and four digs, Samantha Graham handed out 26 assists to go with 12 digs, Ryan Dobbs chipped in three kills and four digs, Cameron Wecker collected 14 digs and Sarah Graham finished with seven digs for Sherman (14-20, 3-4), which stayed in fourth place.

Lovejoy def. Denison 3-0

LUCAS — The Denison Lady Yellow Jackets lost against first-place Lovejoy, 25-4, 25-14, 25-12, in 10-5A action and the Lady Leopards clinched a playoff berth with the victory.

Denison (7-29, 0-7) hosts Princeton on Tuesday night.

District 11-4A

Melissa def. Celina 3-1

MELISSA — Caroline Kasson had 15 kills and 12 digs as Melissa clinched a playoff spot with a 25-15, 16-25, 25-19, 25-15 victory against Celina on Friday.

Susan Blake added 10 kills and 16 digs, Charley Lane chipped in eight kills, eight assists and four digs, Sophia Davis handed out 18 assists to go with 11 digs and Chelsea George finished with 18 digs and six assists for Melissa (29-11, 5-2), which moved into a second-place tie with Aubrey.

District 9-3A

Whitesboro def. S&S 3-1

WHITESBORO — Sierra Parks had 14 kills, five aces, three blocks and three digs as Whitesboro beat S&S, 25-11, 25-14, 19-25, 25-11, in district action on Friday.

Bailey Galewaler added 12 kills and six digs, Cortlyn Cobb chipped in nine kills and four digs, Maggie McCorkle totaled five kills, 10 assists, 18 digs and six aces, Aubri Falcon handed out 23 assists and Chesney Wolf collected seven digs for fourth-place Whitesboro (14-20, 4-6).

District 10-3A

Van Alstyne def. Leonard 3-2

LEONARD — Micah Welch had 13 kills and 12 digs as first-place Van Alstyne clinched a playoff spot with a 25-23, 25-22, 25-27, 19-25, 15-7 win over second-place Leonard in district action on Friday.

Sydney Ingram also put down 13 kills, Liz Purser added nine kills and 11 blocks, Valerie Young totaled eight kills and 17 digs, Lindi Boling collected 33 digs and Darcey Earley finished with 18 digs for Van Alstyne (25-6, 8-1).

Madelyn Butler had 14 kills and 22 digs, Mikayla Farber added 11 kills, 22 digs and four aces, Abby Wilson put down eight kills, Linda Feagan handed out 37 assists to go with 22 digs and Chloey Baker collected 32 digs for Leonard (17-19, 7-33), which can clinch a playoff spot on Tuesday despite having the district bye.

Howe def. Whitewright 3-0

HOWE — Ally Harvey put down 12 kills as Howe defeated Whitewright, 25-20, 25-23, 25-23, in district action on Friday.

Kaylin Bouse added four kills and 12 digs, Cassidy Anderson handed out 20 assists, Jenna Honore collected seven digs, Maya Agee chipped in six digs, Molly Wilson contributed two kills, three aces and three digs and Chloe Loftice totaled three kills for Howe (9-24, 3-7).

Bonham def. Blue Ridge 3-2

BONHAM — Averi Reeves had 27 kills and 16 digs as Bonham defeated Blue Ridge, 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 15-12, in district action on Friday.

Raegan Shackelford put down 18 kills, Lily Wilson chipped in eight kills, Emma Bounds added six kills and four aces, Haleigh Solano collected 19 digs, Carysn Hemby handed out 34 assists to go with 15 digs and six kills and Joli Kirkpatrick totaled nine assists and 11 digs for Bonham.

Ellery Martin had 10 kills and six blocks, Cierra Spurgin added 10 kills and six digs, Skylar Gerner chipped in nine kills and seven blocks, Dakota Deckard handed out 15 assists, Taylor Langwell collected 19 digs and Kailea Jenkins finished with 15 assists and three aces for Blue Ridge (21-16, 6-4), which is a half-game in front of Bonham for third place.
