ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Rains in the area brought Southeastern Oklahoma State golf’s trip to the Holiday Inn Express Classic in to an early end, leaving the team in a tie for ninth after one round played while Zach James turned in a second-place effort at the St. Joseph Country Club.
The Savage Storm carded a team round of 296, tying with Oklahoma Baptist and finishing 12 shots off the winning score.
James turned in his fourth-straight round under 70, carding a 69 to tie for second, two shots off the winning score.
Hayden Foster posted a 73 to tie for 25th.
Ryan Ward followed three strokes back with a 76 to tie for 54th.
Jordan Holifield checked in with a 78 to tie for 72nd while Bryce Hughes rounded out the competition with a round of 82 to finish 72nd.
The event ends the fall schedule for the Savage Storm.
