Alexis Jackman added seven kills and six digs, Avery Charske put down four kills, Sarah Graham chipped in four kills and six digs, Samantha Graham handed out 32 assists and Cameron Wecker collected 19 digs for Sherman (13-19), which returns to District 10-5A action when it hosts Princeton on Tuesday night.

AUBREY — Susan Blake had 16 kills and 10 digs as Melissa beat first-place Aubrey, 25-16, 21-25, 16-25, 25-17, 15-11, in district action on Friday.

Caroline Kasson added 14 kills and 17 digs, Charley Lane totaled four kills, 15 assists and six digs, KG Matthews put down four kills, Sophia Davis handed out 23 assists and Chelsea George collected nine for Melissa (27-11, 3-2).

District 9-3A

Gunter def. Pottsboro 3-0

GUNTER — Beth Gilbreath had 13 kills, seven digs and two aces as Gunter beat Pottsboro, 25-10, 25-17, 25-18, in district action on Friday.

Shae Pruiett added nine kills, eight digs and three aces and Jacee Childers handed out 31 assists to go with eight aces and four digs for Gunter (24-12, 6-2), which is tied with Ponder for second-place.

PONDER — Sierra Parks had seven kills and 11 digs for Whitesboro but second-place Ponder beat the Lady Bearcats, 25-11, 25-15, 25-19, in district action on Friday.

Bailey Galewaler added six kills and five digs, Aubri Falco totaled 12 assists and four kills, Maggie McCorkle chipped in three kills and six digs and Jenna Eugster collected nine digs for fourth-place Whitesboro (13-19, 3-5).

District 10-3A

Van Alstyne def. Blue Ridge 3-0

VAN ALSTYNE — The Van Alstyne Lady Panthers moved one win away from clinching a playoff spot with a 25-14, 25-12, 25-14 victory over Blue Ridge in district play on Friday.

Skylar Gerner and Ellery Martin each put down six kills, Dakota Deckard handed out 12 assists and Taylor Langwell collected 15 digs for third-place Blue Ridge (20-15, 5-3).

Leonard def. Howe 3-0

LEONARD — Mikayla Farber had 13 kills and 15 digs as second-place Leonard beat Howe, 26-24, 25-14, 25-19, in district action on Friday.

Madelyn Butler added 13 kills and 11 digs, Linda Feagan handed out 33 assists to go with 15 digs and Chloey Baker collected 22 digs for Leonard (16-18, 6-2), which travels to fourth-place Bonham on Tuesday.

Bells def. Bonham 3-2

BELLS — Alexis Grove had 11 kills and four blocks as Bells outlasted Bonham, 25-21, 16-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-13, in district action on Friday.

Bella Smith put down nine kills, Charli Waggoner added seven kills and nine digs, Emma Cobb finished with four kills, six digs and two aces, Cheyenne Floyd handed out 26 assists and Gabby Smith collected nine digs for Bells (16-16, 3-5).

Averi Reeves had 26 kills and 14 digs, Raegan Shackelford added eight kills, Lily Wilson chipped in six kills, Carsyn Hemby handed out 24 assists to go with nine digs, Haleigh Solano collected 17 digs and Joli Kirkpatrick totaled eight assists and 11 digs for Bonham.

TOM BEAN — Journie Hilliard had 14 kills and three blocks as first-place Dodd City beat Tom Bean, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19, 25-23, in district action on Friday.

Sarah Brent finished with 14 kills, Delaney Pilliod handed out 35 assists to go with three aces and Cassandra Woodlee put down seven kills for Dodd City (15-10, 3-0).

Lexi Ellis had eight kills, nine aces and seven digs, Chloe Farrer totaled 12 digs, three kills and three blocks, Kelly Cox finished with six digs, three kills and two aces, Taylor Whitehurst chipped in seven assists, five aces and five digs and Taylor Williams collected 13 digs for Tom Bean.
