DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Zach James has picked up a second Great American Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week honor this season following his performance in winning the MSSU Men’s Fall Invitational at Shangri-La Country Club.


James picked up his second straight tournament victory on Tuesday, besting the field by three strokes with a 54-hole total of 205, finishing 11-under-par.


He carded rounds of 68 and 67 over the first two rounds, reaching a streak of five straight rounds in the 60s before ending that streak on Tuesday with a 70.


The win is the sixth in his career and earns him a seventh GAC Player of the Week Award.


Southeastern will return to action Oct. 1-2 when it travels to Wichita, Kan., for the Newman Fall Invitational at Westview CC.
