MAUD — Zack Lusk threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for a score as Tom Bean beat Maud, 21-7, in non-district action on Friday night.


Lusk was 11-of-23 passing for 164 yards and added 15 carries for 61 yards, Ryan Weems finished with three catches for 120 yards and a TD, Bryce Grier had three catches for 31 yards and a score and Tony Karleskint recovered two fumbles for Tom Bean, which is 3-0 to start a season for the first time since 2008.


Gainesville 50, FW Castleberry 48


FORT WORTH — Alam Zuniga’s 45-yard field goal in the final seconds lifted Gainesville past Fort Worth Castleberry in non-district play on Friday night.


Izaiah Baker had 34 carries for 387 yards and three touchdowns and also returned a kickoff 75 yards for a score, Zuniga kicked two more field goals, Paul Lawson had a 76-yard TD catch from Draylon Franklin and Traylen Shinault added a rushing touchdown for Gainesville (1-2).


Nolan Catholic 33, Celina 17


CELINA — Logan Point had 23 carries for 136 yards and a touchdown during Celina’s non-district loss against Fort Worth Nolan Catholic on Friday.


Noah Ross finished with four catches for 81 yards and a touchdown while Eli Price kicked a 32-yard field goal for the Bobcats (1-1).


Pilot Point 34, Aubrey 0


PILOT POINT — Jacob Pitts had 19 carries for 127 yards and three touchdowns as Pilot Point beat Aubrey in non-district action on Friday.


Javon Bruce added 14 carries for 88 yards and a score and Javin Bruce returned a fumble 34 yards for a touchdown for Pilot Point (3-0), which allowed just 118 yards.


Muenster 39, Pottsboro 34


POTTSBORO — Luke Miller had eight catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for a score during Pottsboro’s non-district loss against defending 2A Division II champion Muenster on Friday.


Will Cates added 15 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown, Zach Talley completed 18-of-34 passes for 262 yards with the two TDs and an interception and also ran 11 times for 53 yards and Cy Shope added a rushing touchdown for Pottsboro (1-2).


Collinsville 32, S&S 6


COLLINSVILLE — Trey Shelby had 16 carries for 201 yards and two touchdowns as Collinsville beat S&S in non-district action on Friday.


Jack Boswell returned a fumble for a score, Luis Hernandez added a rushing touchdown and Garrett Vannoy finished with 13 carries for 79 yards for Collinsville (2-0).


S&S (0-3) finished with just 90 yards.


Wolfe City 57, Cumby 0


WOLFE CITY — Dylan Wilson had 16 carries for 168 yards and three touchdowns as Wolfe City beat Cumby in non-district action on Friday.


Cord Smith added 92 yards and three touchdowns on four carries while Amarian Jones and Zach Tisdale also scored on the ground for Wolfe City (3-0), which held Cumby to zero yards.


Celeste 54, Blue Ridge 6


BLUE RIDGE — Garrett Mathers had 15 carries for 143 yards and a touchdown during Blue Ridge’s non-district loss against Celeste on Friday.


Utah Porath added four carries for 38 yards for Blue Ridge (1-2).


Como-Pickton at Whitewright, cancelled


WHITEWRIGHT — The non-district game between Como-Pickton and Whitewright was cancelled due to storms that rolled through north Texas on Friday.


Whitewright (0-2) will play at Lindsay on Friday night.


Dallas A+ Academy 12, Trenton 6


DALLAS – Christian Verde had 17 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown during Trenton’s non-district loss against Dallas A+ Academy on Friday.


Dakota Risner added 12 carries for 56 yards and James Day finished with nine carries for 49 yards for Trenton (2-1).


Alba-Golden 20, Honey Grove 6


HONEY GROVE – Kentavion Smith caught a 23-yard touchdown pass and ran for 59 yards during Honey Grove’s non-district loss against Alba-Golden on Friday.


Trel Pruitt ran 19 times for 51 yards, had three receptions for 28 yards and had the TD pass on his only throwing attempt for Honey Grove (1-2).


Sacred Heart 32, Tioga 6


TIOGA – Reagan Mejia had a 62-yard touchdown catch from Marshall Lease during Tioga’s non-district loss to Muenster Sacred Heart on Friday.


Lease finished with 11 carries for 50 yards, Kaleb Scott totaled 16 carries for 66 yards and Landon Miller chipped in three carries for 56 yards for Tioga (0-3).


Savoy 70, Gold-Burg 25


BOWIE — Patrik McCauley had 17 carries for 306 yards and seven touchdowns as Savoy beat Gold-burg in non-district action on Friday night.


Jonny Stone caught a pair of touchdown passes and Hunter Carrasco picked off two passes for Savoy (1-1).


Arlington Grace Prep 27, Texoma Christian 0


Mathias Coleman had 10 carries for 15 yards and a pair of catches for five yards during Texoma Christian’s non-district loss against Arlington Grace Prep on Friday.


Coleman was the only Eagle to gain positive yardage as TCS (1-2) finished with negative-23 yards.
