PRINCETON — The Sherman Lady Bearcats went 3-3 at the Princeton Tournament, finishing with a pair of victories in three matches on Saturday.

Sherman (4-4) had a 25-13, 25-11 victory against Ferris with Kylie Jackman putting down five kills, Sarah Graham and Avery Charske chipping in four kills apiece and Samantha Graham handed out 14 assists.

The Lady Bearcats also had a 19-25, 25-15, 15-9 victory over Community. Kylie Jackman had nine kills, Ana Folmar and Alex Jackman finished with five kills each and Samantha Graham handed out 21 assists.

Plainview earned a 27-25, 25-20 victory over Sherman. Kylie Jackman had eight kills and 13 digs, Alexis Jackman and Sarah Graham each totaled three kills and two blocks and Samantha Graham finished with 13 assists.

Sherman went 1-2 in pool play with a 25-14, 22-25, 15-12 loss against Farmersville, a 15-25, 25-18, 15-8 loss to Lindsay and a 25-12, 25-11 win over Leonard.

Sarah Graham had five kills and four blocks, Kylie Jackman added four kills, three blocks and nine digs, Cameron Wecker collected 11 digs and Samantha Graham finished with 11 assists and nine digs against Farmersville.

In the loss to Lindsay, Kylie Jackman had seven kills and 10 digs, Charske put down seven kills, Alexis Jackman totaled four kills and six blocks and Samantha Graham contributed 13 assists and eight digs.

Kylie Jackman finished with five kills against Leonard, Sarah Graham added four kills and two blocks, Wecker collected nine digs and Samantha Graham handed out 12 assists.

Third place match

Gunter def. Farmersville 2-0

PRINCETON — The Gunter Lady Tigers won the third-place match of the Princeton Tournament with a 25-22, 25-20 victory against Farmersville on Saturday.

For the weekend, Beth Gilbreath had 56 kills, Shae Pruiett had 33 kills and Jacee Childers was named all-tournament with 124 assists.

Gunter beat Van Alstyne, Community and Plainview during pool play on Friday and then opened bracket play with a 25-22, 25-19 victory against Greenville before a 23-25, 25-17, 12-15 semifinal loss against Lindsay before taking third against Farmersville.

Greenville def. Blue Ridge 2-1

PRINCETON — Ellery Martin had six kills, five blocks and 14 digs for Blue Ridge but Greenville beat the Lady Tigers, 14-25, 25-16, 15-9, to close out the Princeton Tournament on Saturday.

Kylie Mathers added four kills and 12 digs, Dakota Deckard handed out nine assists, Kailea Jenkins finished with 10 assists and Taylor Langwell totaled 12 digs for Blue Ridge (4-3), which hosts Cumby and Miller Grove in a dual match at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Blue Ridge opened Saturday with a 25-11, 25-14 loss against Lindsay. Martin had seven kills and 15 digs, Cierra Spurgin put down three kills, Jenkins added nine assists, Deckard totaled six assists and Langwell collected 18 digs.

In tournament action on Friday, Blue Ridge had a 25-6, 25-14 victory against Ferris and a 25-19, 25-19 win over Alba-Golden to go with a 25-12, 25-11 loss to Princeton.

In the win over Ferris, Martin had seven kills, four blocks, two aces and 16 digs, Mathers added six kills and 13 digs, Spurgin chipped in five kills and 16 digs, Jenkins handed out 15 assists and Langwell collected 13 digs.

Spurgin put down 11 kills in the victory against Alba-Golden while Martin had seven blocks and 13 digs, Mathers finished with six kills and 12 digs, Kenna Walker and Miranda Morgan each contributed four kills and Langwell collected 17 digs.

In the loss to Princeton, Spurgin had four kills, Martin chipped in three kills, two blocks and 12 digs, Jenkins had six assists, Deckard handed out five assists, Mathers finished 13 digs and Langwell collected 15 digs.

Burkburnett def. Whitesboro 2-1

BURKBURNETT — Sierra Parks had nine kills and nine digs for Whitesboro but Burkburnett beat the Lady Bearcats, 23-25, 25-14, 25-15 to close out the Burkburnett Tournament on Saturday.

Bailey Galewaler added five kills and nine digs, Maggie McCorkle finished with 11 assists and four digs, Elly Harper added seven assists and five digs and Chesney Wolf collected seven digs for Whitesboro (3-4).

The Lady Bearcats started bracket play with a 25-20, 25-21 loss against Burkburnett. McCorkle had six kills, six digs and three assists, Harper handed out eight assists and Parks totaled four kills and four digs.

In pool play, Whitesboro beat Benjamin, 25-17, 25-22, Wichita Falls Hirschi, 25-16, 25-11, and Borger, 25-19, 14-25, 25-17, to go with a 25-7, 25-6 loss against Boyd.

Galewaler had six kills and four aces in the win over Benjamin while Parks put down seven kills and McCorkle totaled eight assists and four aces.

In the win over Hirschi, Parks had seven kills and seven digs, Galewaler chipped in four kills, McCorkle contributed eight assists and three kills and Bre Beste collected five digs.

Galewaler had nine kills and eight digs in the victory against Borger while Parks added nine kills and five digs, McCorkle totaled six kills, six digs and 12 assists, Harper chipped in eight assists and three digs and Jenna Eugster collected nine digs.

In the loss against Boyd, Wolf had five digs and Aubri Falco chipped in four digs.

Whitewright def. Bells 2-1

PARIS — Erin Wood was named to the all-tournament team as Whitewright beat Bells, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21, to win the consolation title of the Chisum Tournament on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers finished second in their pool on Friday with a 25-17, 25-27 win over Wolfe City and a 25-11, 25-18 win against Howe and a 25-18, 25-23 loss to Miller Grove.

In bracket play on Saturday, Whitewright lost against Prairiland, 25-11, 25-15, before rebounding with a 25-15, 26-24 victory over Avery and then topped Bells for the consolation title.

Whitewright (4-3) will play at Trenton on Tuesday night.

Bella Smith had eight kills, Charli Waggoner added six kills and three digs, Emma Cobb chipped in five kills, Kennedy Derzapf collected nine digs and Cheyenne Floyd handed out 16 assists for Bells in the lost to Whitewright.

The Lady Panthers started bracket play with a 25-12, 20-25, 25-19 loss to Miller Grove. Waggoner had seven kills and four digs, Alexis Grove added five kills and two blocks, Bella Smith put down four kills, Floyd handed out 16 assists and Derzapf collected six digs while Mia Moore and Gabby Smith chipped in five digs apiece.

Waggoner had seven kills and three digs in a 25-21, 27-25 victory over Paris Chisum. Grove added six kills, Bella Smith put down four kills, Gabby Smith collected four digs and Floyd handed out 15 assists.

Detroit Tournament

Tom Bean finishes 1-1

DETROIT — The Tom Bean Lady Tomcats closed out the Detroit Tournament with a victory against Clarksville and a loss against Sulphur Bluff on Saturday.

Tom Bean beat Clarksville, 20-25, 25-18, 25-17, to go with a 24-26, 17-25 loss to Sulphur Bluff.

Kyndle Selman had 15 kills on the day while Chloe Farrer added nine kills, five blocks and 15 digs, Shelby Mason chipped in 13 aces, seven kills and 22 digs, Kaitlyn Lind put down six kills and four aces, Lauren Getts finished with 14 aces, four kills and nine digs, Kelly Cox collected 11 digs and Taylor Whitehurst handed out 30 assists to go with 11 aces for Tom Bean.
