PARIS — The Bells Lady Panthers went 2-1 in pool play at the Paris Chisum Tournament on Thursday with wins against North Lamar’s junior varsity and New Boston and a loss against Prairiland.

In the 25-17, 25-12 victory over North Lamar’s JV, Alexis Grove put down eight kills, Cheyenne Floyd handed out nine assists and Bella Smith collected four digs.

In a 25-14, 23-25, 18-16 win against New Boston, Smith had 10 kills, three blocks and six digs, Grove added six kills, Emma Cobb and Charli Waggoner finished with four kills apiece and Floyd handed out 20 assists.

In the 25-18, 25-9 loss to Prairiland, Grove, Smith and Cobb each had two kills and Floyd totaled six assists.

Bells (3-1) will compete in the Gold Bracket on Saturday.

Detroit Tournament

Trenton goes 2-1

DETROIT — The Trenton Lady Tigers went 2-1 at the Detroit Tournament on Thursday with victories against Clarksville and Tom Bean to go with a loss against North Hopkins.

Trenton beat Clarksville, 27-25, 25-9, and Tom Bean, 25-15, 25-20, while North Hopkins topped the Lady Tigers, 25-18, 25-20.

On the day Maddison Lavoie totaled 18 kills and five digs, Gracie Holden finished with 21 assists and seven digs, Carley Stone collected 11 digs and Dalila Hernandez had 10 digs and six aces for Trenton (2-3), which plays a non-district match at Valley View on Friday.
