Nearly a dozen area baseball players were all-state selections for the 2018 season by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Denison senior Wilson Kirkbride was selected first-team all-state at second base.

In Class 3A, Pottsboro junior Hayden Kent was first-team all-state at first base and junior pitcher Coby Langford was selected second-team all-state.

Whitewright senior Neal Taylor was second-team all-state in the outfield.

Whitesboro junior Scout Sanders was third-team all-state at third base and senior Weston Hickman was third-team all-state in the outfield.

In Class 2A, Sam Rayburn senior Riley Hall was named first-team all-state at pitcher

Bells senior Chance Morse was second-team all-state at first base, classmate Stephen Hinds was second team all-state at second base and classmate Hunter Hawthorne was named third-team all-state at pitcher.
