GRAND PRAIRIE — Cisco College stunned Grayson College with six runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to hand the Vikings an 11-7 loss in the winner’s bracket of the NJCAA Region V Tournament on Saturday night.
Grayson (39-16) will face McLennan in an elimination game at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Cisco scored all its runs in the final two innings.
Ryne Randle was 3-for-4 with a double and scored, Jackson Glenn was 2-for-4 with a home run, double, two RBI and scored twice, Cordell Dunn and Jarrett Gonzales homered and Clayton Rasbeary was 2-for-3 with a double, walked twice and scored twice.
Grayson opened the tournament with a 17-0 victory in five innings against Howard. Zack Phillips allowed three hits, Brandon Talley was 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBI and two runs, Randle was 3-for-4 and a home run shy of the cycle with three RBI and two runs, Glenn was 2-for-4 with three RBI and scored and Andrew Miller drove in three runs.
