BENTONVILLE, Ark. — After getting extra inning heroics earlier in the day to stay alive, the Southeastern Oklahoma State softball team saw its postseason run come to an end on Friday evening in an 8-5 loss to top-seeded Southern Arkansas at the Great American Conference Tournament.

Kennedy Salyers collected two of the team’s four hits while Elexis Watson added a home run and Mykaela Wallace added a hit. Watson had two RBI while Salyers also drove in a run.

Kelsey Meeks got the start and tossed 6.1 innings in the loss, allowing seven runs, four earned, on 10 hits.

Destiny Riddle tossed two-thirds of an inning, allowing one unearned run on one hit for Southeastern (34-23).

The Storm started the day with an 8-6 victory over Ouachita Baptist when Karsyn Brigance connected on an eighth-inning, two-run walk-off homer.

Keeshia Thompson reached on an error with one out and with two way Brigance delivered the knockout blow.
