Ryne Randle was 3-for-4 with a grand slam as Grayson College finished off a sweep of Weatherford College, 10-2 after a 17-8 victory, in North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference action at Dub Hayes Field on Wednesday afternoon.

Ty Jones homered, drove in three runs and scored twice, Clayton Rasbeary doubled and drove in a run, Brandon Talley singled, drove in a run and scored and Ricky Martinez scored twice for the Vikings (37-14, 22-8) who close out the regular season with a double-header at Weatherford on Saturday afternoon.

Slater Foust earned the victory with five innings in relief, scattering five hits and a walk while striking out seven.

Weatherford took a 1-0 lead in the first and held it until Randle’s grand slam in the bottom of the fourth inning. Rasbeary added a two-out RBI double in the frame.

Weatheford made it 5-2 in the next half inning but Grayson scored on an error to get the run back, Talley had an RBI single in the sixth and Jones had a three-run homer in the seventh to close out the scoring.

In the opener, Cordell Dunn was 4-for-5 with two home runs, including a grand slam, a double, seven RBI and scored three times as Grayson finished with 18 hits.

Talley was 3-for-4 with three home runs, four RBI and four runs, Andrew Miller was 3-for-5 with two homers, three RBI and three runs, Jarrett Gonzalez was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubled and drove in a run, Jackson Glenn was 2-for-5, drove in a run and scored and Rasbeary was 2-for-3, walked twice and scored three times for the Vikings.

Weatherford scored twice in the first before Grayson tied the game in the bottom of the inning and the Vikings went up 5-2 in the second.

Weatherford then put up a six-run third inning before Grayson made it 8-6 in the bottom of the inning, then scored five times in the fourth and three times in the fifth and sixth to pull away.
