HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. — The Southeastern Oklahoma State golf team slipped a bit off its Day 1 pace but held on to finish second at the Natural State Classic at the Red Apple Inn and Country Club.
The Savage Storm carded a second-round score of 298 and finished with a total of 586, finishing three shots behind champion Arkansas Tech and three shots up on Henderson State.
Zach James had an even-par 71 to post a 144 for the event and tied for third.
Hayden Foster posted a 72 to finish with a 146 and tie for eighth.
Jordan Holifield carded a 78 to finish the tournament with a 148 and tie for 15th.
Ryan Woods turned in a 77 for a 149 and was the fourth Southeastern player in the top 20 as he tied for 19th.
Sam Berry rounded out the team competitors with an 83 to tally a 154 and finish tied for 43rd.
Ruben Figueiredo fired an 80 to finish with a 163 in 63rd place.
