HOWE — Cassidy Anderson was 2-for-3 with a double, drove in two runs and scored twice as Howe clinched a playoff spot with a 6-5 victory against Lone Oak in a District 10-3A make-up game on Thursday night.


Torrey Stubblefield was 2-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBI and scored twice and did not allow an earned run with nine strikeouts to get the win, Erin Blackburn was 2-for-3 with two doubles and scored and Payton Griffin singled, drove in a run and scored for Howe (10-10, 8-2), which moved a half-game in front of Leonard for first-place. The Lady Bulldogs take on Farmersville tonight at home.


Lone Oak fell a half-game behind Whitewright for the playoff spot with two games remaining.
