DODD CITY — Austin Earl made 12 three-pointers and finished with 50 points as Ector defeated Dodd City, 72-50, in District 22-A action on Friday night.


Earl, a sophomore, had 15 points in the first quarter, seven in the second, eight in the third and 20 in the fourth quarter. He broke the old school record of eight three-pointers.


Garen Norwood added eight points and Noel Cannaday chipped in six points for Ector (22-6, 2-0), which plays at Irving Universal on Tuesday night with the winner taking sole possession of first place.

Celina 74, Princeton 67


PRINCETON — Karson Stastny scored 28 points as Celina defeated Princeton and stayed in a first-place tie with Aubrey on Friday night.


Hayden Hollin added 16 points and Kobe Ollison chipped in 10 points for Celina.


Aubrey 91, Bonham 65


BLUE RIDGE — Wyatt Dolberry scored 24 points during Bonham’s district loss against Aubrey on Friday night in a game played at Blue Ridge because Bonham ISD was closed due to flu concerns.


Josh Ukpe added 15 points and Noah Shellman chipped in 12 points for Bonham (17-7, 1-2), which is in a three-way tie with Princeton and Melissa for third place.


District 9-3A


Whitesboro 56, Pilot Point 46


WHITESBORO — Cade Acker made eight three-pointers and scored 28 points as third-place Whitesboro defeated fourth-place Pilot Point in district action on Friday night.


Brendan Wilson added eight points and Scout Sanders and Montana Morgan finished with six points apiece for Whitesboro, which starts the second half of district play at Pottsboro on Tuesday.


Cody Collinsworth scored 20 points to lead Pilot Point.


Pottsboro 76, Callisburg 31


CALLISBURG — Daniel Arnold scored 16 points as second-place Pottsboro beat Callisburg in district action on Friday night.


Cameron Curry added 14 points, Ross Hendrix chipped in 10 points and Ethyn Snider finished with nine points for Pottsboro (20-5, 5-1).


Caleb Andrews scored six points to lead Callisburg (8-16, 1-5).


Ponder 74, Gunter 54


PONDER — Tyler Scott scored 16 points during Gunter’s district loss against first-place Ponder on Friday night.


Logan Nelson added 11 points and Zander Turner chipped in nine points for Gunter (5-16, 2-4), which starts the second half of district play a game behind Pilot Point for the final playoff spot.

Van Alstyne 68, Lone Oak 23


LONE OAK — Samuel Tormos scored 17 points as second-place Van Alstyne defeated Lone Oak in district action on Friday night.


Noah Boling and Jackson Rogers each added 14 points and C.J. Luetwyler chipped in seven points for Van Alstyne (18-9, 5-1).


Whitewright 60, Farmersville 52


WHITEWRIGHT — Dylan Pitt scored 15 points as Whitewright defeated Farmersville in district action on Friday night.


Seth Jackson added 13 points and Kylan Watson and Dylan Cordell each chipped in seven points for Whitewright (8-14, 2-4), which will start the second half in fifth place.

Lindsay 64, Tom Bean 34


TOM BEAN — Blakeston Jones had nine points and three steals during Tom Bean’s district loss against Lindsay in a match-up of district unbeatens on Friday night.


Ben Lind added eight points and 12 rebounds and Perry Williams chipped in four points, six rebounds and two steals for Tom Bean (15-11, 2-1).

Sam Rayburn 62, Bells 54


BELLS — Colby Meek scored 20 points during Bells’ district loss against Sam Rayburn on Friday night.


Wrangler Priest added 12 points and Hunter Hawthorne chipped in nine points for Bells (9-12, 0-3).


Sam Rayburn (18-5, 3-0) remained tied with Lindsay for first place.

Texoma Christian 67, Dallas First Baptist 64


Matthew McCarthy scored 29 points as Texoma Christian edged Dallas First Baptist to gain sole possession of first place in district action on Friday night.


Kyle McCarthy added 17 points and Marlen Williams finished with 13 points for Texoma Christian (19-4, 6-0).
