WHITESBORO — Qyra Ressler had 13 kills and six digs as fourth-place Whitesboro clinched the final playoff spot with a 25-11, 25-23, 22-25, 14-25, 15-12 victory against second-place Gunter in the District 9-3A finale on Tuesday.

Phoenix West added nine kills and 21 digs, Maggie McCorkle totaled 19 assists, 13 digs, seven kills and four aces, Karlee Schuessler finished with 18 assists, 17 digs and six digs and Sierra Parks chipped in six kills, four blocks and three digs for Whitesboro (19-16, 6-6), which will open the playoffs against either Commerce or Farmersville, which tied for first place in 10-3A.

Camryn MacDonald had 19 kills and 27 digs, Lakin Satre added six kills, Sarah Franze chipped in five kills and 16 digs, Jacee Childers handed out 35 assists, Nyah Ingram collected 20 digs, Jacee Childers finished with 11 digs and Beth Gilbreath totaled four kills for Gunter (26-10, 9-3), which will open the playoffs against either Leonard or Van Alstyne, which tied for third place in 10-3A. The Lady Tigers will face Lindsay in a warm-up match on Friday.

S&S def. Pottsboro 3-2

SADLER — Payton White put down 14 kills as S&S closed its season with a 19-25, 25-22, 25-15, 20-25, 15-12 victory against Pottsboro in 9-3A action on Tuesday night.

Grace Johnson added 12 kills, seven aces, six digs and five assists, Leighann Wolfe totaled 21 assists, nine kills and seven digs, Colleen Billmeier finished with four kills, Kaylee Baker collected 32 digs and Mickey Baur chipped in 10 digs for S&S (12-21, 2-10).

Pottsboro was eliminated from the playoffs with the loss. It needed a win and a loss by Whitesboro against Gunter to force a play-in.

District 10-3A

Farmersville def. Leonard 3-2

LEONARD — Alyssa Davis had 28 kills and 20 digs for third-place Leonard but co-champion Farmersville edged the Tigerettes, 25-20, 18-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-10, in the district finale on Tuesday.

Madelyn Butler added nine kills and seven digs, Shelby Wright collected 19 digs, Linda Feagin handed out 39 assists to go with 17 digs, Nakita Harris finished with 13 digs and Mikayla Farber totaled 11 digs for Leonard (26-12, 7-5), which tied with Van Alstyne for third. The two teams will need to decide the last two playoff seeds.

Van Alstyne def. Whitewright 3-0

VAN ALSTYNE — The Lady Panthers defeated Whitewright, 25-20, 25-21, 25-16, to close out district play on Tuesday night and moved into a third-place tie with Leonard.

Van Alstyne (20-13, 7-5) and Leonard will need to decide the last two seeds for the playoffs.

Juliann Kelley had seven kills and three aces, Amaya Rice added six kills and three blocks, Emily Looney put down five kills, Jy’Rea Johnson finished with four kills and four blocks, Kennedy Shaw collected 12 digs and Kelsey Hodgdon handed out 22 assists for Whitewright (15-20, 4-8).

District 11-2A

Blue Ridge def. Roxton 3-0

BLUE RIDGE — Shelby Gerner had 13 kills as Blue Ridge earned the outright district title with a 25-8, 25-4, 25-10 victory against Roxton to close out the regular season on Tuesday.

Skylar Gerner put down five kills, Kelsie Kennon chipped in five kills and five aces, Marlaina Morgan handed out 12 assists, Kendall McCarley added four aces, Dakota Deckard totaled 11 assists and three aces and Taylor Langwell collected 12 digs for Blue Ridge (20-12, 13-1), which opens the Class 2A playoffs next week.

The Lady Tigers will host Miller Grove in a warm-up match at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bells def. Dodd City 3-2

BELLS — Bella Smith had 20 kills and eight digs as second-place Bells outlasted third-place Dodd City, 25-19, 18-25, 24-26, 25-16, 15-11, in the regular-season finale on Tuesday night.

Dezeray Poe added 18 kills and five aces, Gabby Smith totaled seven kills, Charli Waggoner chipped in six kills and five digs, Alexis Grove put down five kills, Cheyenne Floyd handed out 33 assists and Kennedy Derzapf collected 22 digs for Bells (19-18, 12-2), which opens the Class 2A playoffs next week.

Journie Hilliard had 12 kills and six blocks, Sarah Brent added 10 kills and six digs, Abby Weeks handed out 23 assists to go with five digs, Madelyn Underwood chipped in seven digs and two kills and Dani Baccus collected six digs for Dodd City (23-9, 10-4), which has a first-round bye in the Class 1A bracket.

Trenton def. Tom Bean 3-2

TRENTON — Gracie Holden had 27 kills and 16 digs as Trenton outlasted Tom Bean, 25-22, 25-18, 21-25, 23-25, 15-12, in the district finale on Tuesday.

Maddison Lavoie added 15 kills and 18 digs, Bethany Nors handed out 40 assists to go with 14 digs and Dalila Hernandez collected 17 digs for Trenton (17-22, 8-6), which earned the third seed for the Class 2A bracket.

Baylee Stautzenberger had 20 kills, Lexi Ellis put down eight kills, Jillian Beck totaled 23 assists, 16 digs, seven kills and three aces, Cheyanne Worley finished with 11 digs and five kills and Jewel Mason collected 24 digs for Tom Bean, which will be the fourth seed in the Class 2A bracket.
