LITTLE ELM — Taylor Greenameyer had 16 kills and 11 digs for Denison but Denton Braswell defeated the Lady Yellow Jackets, 25-17, 23-25, 25-16, 25-13, in District 5-5A action on Friday.

Denison (23-14, 4-8), which has the district bye to close out the schedule, now needs Braswell to lose to co-leader Denton Ryan and Denton to lose to third-place Sherman on the last night to force a three-way tie for fourth place. If either Braswell or Denton win, Denison is eliminated from the playoffs.

Kiara Scott had nine kills, 12 digs and five aces, Courtney Gillespie handed out 28 assists to go with 10 digs, Taylor Dawes collected 11 digs and Kenli Powell and Taryn Gaines each put down three kills for the Lady Jackets.

District 11-4A

Melissa def. Celina 3-2

CELINA — Susan Blake had 22 kills and 10 digs, as Melissa defeated Celina, 22-25, 19-25, 25-15, 25-15, 15-13, to gain the top seed for the playoffs.

Caroline Kasson added 14 kills and 24 digs, Anna Fortenberry and Kg Matthews each put down four kills, Sophia Davis handed out 20 assists, Charley Lane finished with 20 assists and 10 digs and Brittany Melcher collected 31 digs for Melissa (25-9, 8-1), which holds the tie-breaker over second-place Celina.

District 9-3A

Whitesboro def. Pilot Point 3-0

PILOT POINT — Qyra Ressler put down 10 kills as Whitesboro moved into fourth place with a 25-15, 26-24, 25-15 victory over Pilot Point on Friday.

Phoenix West finished with six kills and 13 digs, Sierra Parks added five kills and four digs, Karlee Schuessler handed out 14 assists to go with seven digs and Maggie McCorkle totaled nine assists, 11 digs, three kills and three aces for Whitesboro (18-16, 5-6), which will clinch a playoff spot with a victory against second-place Gunter or a loss by Pottsboro against S&S on Tuesday. If the two teams tie, there will be a play-in match for the final postseason berth.

Ponder def. S&S 3-0

PONDER — Leighann Wolfe had four kills, five assists and five digs for S&S but third-place Ponder defeated the Lady Rams, 25-6, 25-10, 25-14, in district action on Friday.

Grace Johnson handed out five assists, Kaylee Baker collected seven digs and Colleen Billmeier and Payton White each chipped in a pair of kills for S&S (11-21, 1-10).

District 10-3A

Leonard def. Lone Oak 3-0

LONE OAK — Alyssa Davis had 13 kills and six digs as third-place Leonard defeated Lone Oak, 25-6, 25-16, 25-10, in district action on Friday.

Madelyn Butler added nine kills for Leonard (26-11, 7-4), which can clinch third place with a win over Farmersville or a Van Alstyne loss against Whitewright in the season finale Tuesday.

District 10-2A

Tioga def. Prairie Valley 3-0

TIOGA — Andrea Perez had 13 kills and five aces as second-place Tioga swept Prairie Valley, 25-17, 25-9, 25-18, in district action on Friday.

Nicole Hill added six kills, Carly Hough and Destini Maness and Stormi Dutton each chipped inf our kills, Paityn Glaze collected 12 digs and Brittany Barnett handed out 28 assists for Tioga (27-10, 11-2).

District 11-2A

Blue Ridge def. Bells 3-2

BELLS — Shelby Gerner had 19 kills, 14 blocks and nine digs as Blue Ridge outlasted Bells, 25-23, 20-25, 22-25, 25-12, 15-10, to gain sole possession of first place on Friday.

Ellery Martin added 17 kills and nine blocks, Skyler Gerner chipped in 14 kills and four blocks, Kelsie Kennon totaled seven kills and 12 digs, Dakota Deckard handed out 21 assists, Marlaina Morgan finished with 19 assists and Taylor Langwell collected 27 digs for Blue Ridge (19-12, 12-1), which clinched the top seed for the Class 2A bracket.

Bella Smith had 13 kills, 11 digs and three blocks, Charli Waggoner added seven kills and four digs, Dezeray Poe put down six kills, Alexis Grove chipped in five kills and Cheyenne Floyd totaled 29 assists, five kills and four aces for Bells (18-18, 11-2).

Trenton def. Wolfe City 3-1

WOLFE CITY — Gracie Holden had 21 kills and 10 digs as Trenton clinched a playoff spot with a 19-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-23 victory against Wolfe City on Friday.

Maddison Lavoie added 12 kills, Bethany Nors handed out 31 assists and Dalila Hernandez collected 20 digs for Trenton (16-22, 7-6), which hosts Tom Bean to close out the regular season Tuesday. The Lady Tigers clinch third for the Class 2A bracket with a win.

Tom Bean def. Roxton 3-0

TOM BEAN — Baylee Stautzenberger had 10 kills and 11 aces as Tom Bean swept Roxton, 25-13, 25-11, 25-8, and clinched a playoff spot for the first time in school history in district action on Friday.

Cheyanne Worley added four kills, five digs and three aces, Lexi Ellis put down three kills, Jillian Beck totaled 18 assists, four digs, three aces and three kills and Jewel Mason finished with six digs and four aces for Tom Bean.

Dodd City def. Savoy 3-0

DODD CITY — Journie Hilliard had 11 kills as third-place Dodd City defeated Savoy, 25-15, 25-8, 25-7, in district action on Friday.

Sarah Brent added nine kills, Cassandra Woodlee chipped in six kills and Abby Weeks handed out 22 assists for Dodd City (23-8, 10-3), which plays at Bells to close out the regular season on Tuesday.
