DURANT, Okla. — Rollin Kinsaul connected with Jaylen Sims for three touchdowns, and Southeastern Oklahoma forced four turnovers Saturday in a 41-21 victory over Arkansas-Monticello at Paul Laird Field.

The Savage Storm (4-0) remained tied for first in the Great American Conference standings.

Kinsaul was 16 of 22 passing for 182 yards with Sims catching six passes for 67 yards. Rashod Polk rushed for 129 yards on 20 carries as SOSU finished with 424 total yards.

The Storm took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter on a 1-yard run by Kenneth Burks and the first of two field goals by Joel Carlos.

The Boll Weevils (2-2) got on the board on a 1-yard pass from Cole Sears to Austin Harris, but O.J. Harris returned a punt 54 yards to score and give SOSU a 17-7 halftime lead.

Sims hauled in TD passes of 13 and 6 yards in the third quarter, between which UAM’s Ralph Singleton had a 23-yard TD run. After Carlos’ second field goal early in the fourth quarter, UAM’s Imani Riley scored on a 10-yard run before Sims closed out the scoring with a 21-yard reception.

The Weevils finished with 322 total yards as Riley had 93 of UAM’s 217 rushing yards. but UAM had three interceptions and a lost fumble. SOSU converted three of the turnovers into 17 points.

Seu Luafatasaga led SOSU with nine tackles. Troy Parker had eight tackles and a fumble recovery, while Justin Young had seven stops and an interception.
