LEONARD — Solomon Titus spent much of his junior year on the sideline dealing with injuries.

During his final season, however, Leonard’s running back was in a much nicer position.

The Tiger senior was in the middle of the program’s best effort in school history —a state semifinal appearance before losing to eventual champ Cisco.

Titus helped lead the way for the Tigers, finishing with 2,428 yards and 20 touchdowns on 278 carries and another three TDs receiving.

The District 7-2A (II) Offensive Player of the Year was an honorable mention all-state pick and now earns the nod as the Herald Democrat All-Texomaland Class 1A-2A Offensive Player of the year as well.
